HORSEBACK RIDING

Mount-up times are 9.15 am for the morning ride and 2:15 pm for the afternoon ride

Please be sure to sign up for each ride on the list in the front foyer, by 1:00 pm for the PM ride & the night before for the AM ride!

Please note you will not be able to ride until you have filled out a Waiver of Liability.

If you are not on the list at mount-up, the barn crew will not have a horse saddled for you. If you forget to sign the ride list, please come tell us in the office as soon as possible so that we can get a horse ready for you.

If you wake up in the morning and don’t feel like riding, just call the office and leave a message on the machine that you are a “scratch” for the morning ride—no need to drag yourself out of bed to come tell us!

* Orientation Session at the barn 15 minutes prior to every ride!*

First-time riders with Sundance—whether beginner or advanced—please be sure to attend prior to your first ride for trail etiquette and safety pointers.

Cowboy boots or similar footwear is mandatory for all riders and helmets must be worn by anyone under 19 years of age, although we highly recommend them for all riders. Boots can be rented from the office for $4/day, and helmets are $4/day.

The dining room is licensed for beer and wine service, and is the only place on the ranch that is not “FREE BYOB”.

You may bring your own bottle for an $9.00 corkage fee.

The adults-only bar lounge across the patio is Free BYOB and open 8am – 1am!

Kindly remove your alcohol from the adult lounge over night.

A NOTE ABOUT WATER USAGE

Sundance is located in a semi-desert area, and water is precious.

We therefore ask for your help in conserving water wherever possible.

Please take short showers instead of baths whenever convenient.

We ask that you please also help out by re-using bath and pool towels.

About drinking water:  Our tap water is filtered, chlorinated and tested weekly, HOWEVER we are planning an complete upgrade to our water system, so in the meantime, filtered water dispensers are located around the ranch and there’s a jug in your room that you can fill.

Speaking of water—it doesn’t rain often here, but when it does, the old wooden boardwalks can be slippery. Please exercise care!

TOWELS

Please do your bit for the environment, and ease the strain on our septic system, by limiting your water consumption and reusing your towels wherever possible.

Towels will be replaced every third day.

If you would like your towels changed more often, simply drop them in the bathtub.

GRATUITIES

As we do not include a service charge in our package price, a contribution to our ‘Staff Gratuity Fund’ is greatly appreciated by all – thank you!
